(More customer reviews)My wife got this device and was disappointed.After waiting and "some assembly required" we found it didn't fit her.While they never claimed it would, rather they just give knee platform height, whatever that means.She's 5'6" and tried to use it but here good foot didn't touch the ground.The lowest setting fit me @ 5'8" and the tallest my son at 6'0".We ended up renting a turning model with two adjustable pads and a basket.After seeing how good that one worked, we were even more disappointed in this one.Goodbye Crutches!

This is the sort of item that a customer might need very quickly, and Allegro Medical and Amazon did an excellent job. The only negative thing I can say about this bench is that its surface could be more comfortable; however, I knew this before I selected this model. Invacare makes another model that is only a little more expensive, and it is probably a little more comfortable, but it also takes up more space. This one fits into our oversized shower beautifully. The larger, more comfortable model seems to be designed more for a tub/shower combination in which you place only one end inside the tub/shower.

We've always used a regular wheel chair and it is heavy and she can't propel it herself, so we realy don't need the big wheels that are on a regular wheel chair.Now we will use it for very rough terrain. It is very strong, light and compact compared to her regular wheelchair. I can't say anything negative about it.My daughter is small, so we ordered the 17" size. Amazon has the best price and it arrived as stated with no problems.

(More customer reviews)I was surprised to find that this manufacturer does not measure the width of the chair the same way that other manufacturere do. This was advertised as a 17-inch-width, and it turns out to be 15-inch across the seat. But this is satisfactory to me.
I just think that people should be aware of the fact that the Drive chair is narrower than one might expect.

(More customer reviews)After using the wheelchair 5 times, mainly going to the mall, some of the bolts that hold the metals bars on the folding assembly and connected to the seat, ended up missing.We received and installed the replacement parts from Drive, but the same screws continued to loosen and fall off and only after 2 or 3 uses (going to the mall or doctor's office).After reporting what I consider a serious problem to Drive, they sent us a replacement wheelchair thinking that first chair was defective.However, after using this new wheelchair about 5 times, the same bolts and nuts unscrewed and we still had a problem. Drive includes a tool set with the wheelchair, which we use to tighten the bolts now after every 2 uses.The nuts that are loosening are called "acorn nuts."

Although we have had problems with this chair, it has worked well because it's lightweight and easy to push around.Also, when folded, it can easily fit into a car's trunk.
