(More customer reviews)I bought this table for my mother's manual wheelchair. She often goes to the kitchen for a drink or meal that she then brings back to another room, but she couldn't hold the items and push her wheelchair. Everything about this table makes sense. It has a hook and a separate cupholder, so you don't need to have the table on all the time, but you could. I like the way the table swings out of the way so the person can easily rise from the wheelchair. I also love the fact that this table fits on just about any wheelchair, and it doesn't noticeably increase the overall width of the wheelchair itself.This is important to us as the hallways in my mother's home are not very wide and the wheelchair barely fit through before I added the table.
The only problem I've had so far is that the upright pole can loosen over time. There is a set screw that you can tighten, but due to the location on my mom's wheelchair that I had to clamp the table, it is difficult to reach. I don't blame the product for this, I'm thankful we could find a place on the wheelchair that works at all. (It's an old model.) We eventually used some zip ties to help keep it tight.
I've been looking for a wheelchair table for more than a year. I'm so happy I finally found this one. It fits our needs perfectly.
More importantly, my mother is very happy with it, and she is not easy to please!
